| Seven game guarantee Teams will be placed in brackets of six teams with mixed classifications for a five game round-robin All teams regardless of win-loss record during bracket play will advance to a double-elimination play-off in their classification During bracket play the home run rule will be three plus "one-up" Home run rule for Championship play-offs is as follows including the 7th and all extra innings: - Class C teams - Four plus "one-up" - Class D teams - Two plus "one-up" - Class E teams - One plus "one-up" Run ahead rule for all games: - 20 runs after three innings - 15 runs after four innings - 10 runs after five innings Very attractive trophy awards - the highest finishing team from Virginia in each classification play-off (C-D-E-CoRec) will be awarded a free entry into the ASA State Championship tournament in their respective classification. For this very special event, we will have a very special entry fee of $300.00. Deadline for entering the tournament is Monday, May 21st, 2012. | Point System for Series: 1 point to register your team online 2 points for the Bracket Winner 1 point for each win in Bracket 4 points for Tournament Winner 3 points for 2nd Place Tournament Winner 2 points for 3rd Place Tournament Winner 1 point for 4th Place Tournament Winner To be eligible for awards 10 teams must participate on an average for each of the 3 qualifying tournaments per division of play (30 teams per division of play) 1st place in each qualifying division wins: - ASA Paid State Berth - ASA 2012 Turkey Shoot Paid Berth - 2013 Sportsman Shop Sponsorship (12 hats, 12 shirts, 12 pants or shorts) - $100.00 Hooters Party Certificate 2nd place in each qualifying division wins: - 2013 Sportsman Shop Sponsorship (15 T-shirts) - $75.00 Hooters Party Certificate 3rd place in each qualifying division wins: - $50.00 Hooters Party Certificate If requirements are not met, then an ASA Turkey Shoot Paid Berth for 2012 will be awarded to Men's C, D, E and Co-Rec Divisions Tournament Winners if 20 teams participated in that division. | SPECIAL NOTICE to all Men's Adult Slowpitch Teams from Central Virginia A.S.A. that are planning to attend a national championship. |
| Men's Slow Pitch Teams from Central Virginia A.S.A. that plan on attending a 2012 A.S.A. National Championship must comply with these requirements. 1. A team must enter to play in three (3) A.S.A. sanctioned tournaments during the year. The sanctioned tournament can be held in any location. If the tournament is cancelled for any reason after a team has entered to play, the team will get credit for playing. The tournament can be one of the following: - League Play-off Tournament - Charity or Benefit Tournament - Invitational Tournament - Dual sanctioned tournament - National Qualifiying Tournament 2. A team must enter to play in one of the following A.S.A. Championships. - Central Virginia A.S.A. Championship - Piedmont Virginia A.S.A. Championship - Virginia State A.S.A. Championship 3. A team must be A.S.A. sanctioned and in good standing with: - The A.S.A. District Commissioner where the team is sanctioned - The Central Virginia A.S.A. | Adult Slow Pitch Team & Player Classification |
| It is very important that you read the section on the ASA National Web Site about Adult Slow Pitch Classification. You need to look up your team's rating. You need to look up the rating of any men's slow pitch players. You can find this information by logging onto the ASA National Web Site at: www.asasoftball.com From there click on the ADULT tab and go to the Slow Pitch Player Classification. Located above the Mandatory Classification you will see Associations/Teams/Players. Click on Teams to search by teams. Click on Players to search by individual players. From the individual player's page, you can click on the box that says "APPEAL" to begin the appeal process if you disagree with the player's classification. |
